Change… Growth… Exploration.
Stagnant… Settled… Comfortable.
Beware the person who claims to have enough knowledge to get them through the rest of their days. This arrogance will get them nowhere in life. These are not the people we want to take advice from, to look up to, to copy/paste into our lives. They are comfortable in their lives, they’ve settled and this is a life that will always be afraid to be more than it is right now. Stagnation is the death of the soul.
What is the difference between a living thing and a death thing? In the medical world, a clinical definition of death is a body that does not change. Change is life. Stagnation is death. If you don’t change, you die. It’s that simple. It’s that scary. -Leonard Sweet
The way to achieve our dreams is to learn, change, grow, and explore. A productive, valuable, creative soul belongs to a person willing to admit they don’t know everything. They crave change, even if it makes them uncomfortable because they realize a little bit of discomfort comes with success, growth, exploration and value. Being comfortable doesn’t equal happiness. Being too comfortable in life can equal stagnation… settling for a life that we were told we should live and achieve.
Never listen to advice from a person that doesn’t have the life you want or isn’t working to achieve the life you want. Don’t become so arrogant as to believe you have learned everything you will ever need to learn. Let’s not confuse exploration for a “grass is always greener” type attitude. Growth and change are necessary to adapt in this world full of challenges and constant changes. Our minds are our most powerful tool… let’s not kill it by becoming stagnant.
